Many of Joanne's collages combine a variety of handmade papers with natural materials such as shells, feathers, stones, and twigs to create textural artforms that range from earthy landscapes, nature themes and Southwest imagery to brightly-colored geometrics.  These multi-dimensional collages are framed in acrylic box frames wired for hanging.

Joanne's most recent collages combine richly-textured handmade papers with an impasto of acrylic paints on gallery-style wrapped canvases which may be hung without a frame.  These collages, in a variety of color palettes from subtle, earthy tones to bright, sunny hues, reflect the natural world around us.  Joanne draws her inspiration for these artworks from the rolling hills of Tuscany, the stonework of an old Italian villa, the leaves of a light-dappled vineyard.
